    Access To Multiple Specialists
    The staff of The Cystic Fibrosis Center of Chicago features multiple accredited
    specialists to address every related aspect of CF care. This includes Respiratory
    Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Clinical Psychologists, Physical Therapists,
    Dieticians, and Social Workers. Because we are affiliated with multiple institutions,
    we are not limited to a single hospital-based system for referrals for physician
    specialists such as cardiologists or for other ancillary services or diagnostics.

Medical Director and Founder
Steven R. Boas M.D.

Dr. Boas is dedicated to the care of children and adolescents with acute or chronic respiratory disorders. His areas of expertise include Pediatric Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis, Chronic Cough, Exercise Related Disorders, and Chest Wall Disorders. His practice actively participates in both independent
and national clinical research involving the newest therapies available for children with asthma and
cystic fibrosis. He has authored dozens of book
chapters and articles in national and international

    medical journals. He is sought for his experience and as an invited speaker at
    regional, national, and international medical conferences as well as a medical
    reviewer for exercise and pulmonary related journals.

    Dr. Boas serves on the medical faculty at many of the area's top rated medical
    centers. These include:

    Having received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony
    Brook, School of Medicine; Dr. Boas completed his Pediatric Residency at Boston
    City Hospital and Nassau County Medical Center in New York and his Pediatric
    Pulmonary Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Board certified in
    Pediatric Pulmonology, he has received awards from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
    for his research with children with CF.
